If you want to start a blog and make any money, from 10 dollars to 10,000 monthly I would make sure you are starting it for the right reasons. First off most blogs will not bring in that much money until 10+ months into existence unless you have the money to do so, therefore most likely you really need to love what you do.

One of the main reasons starting a blog is worth it is because you get to tell others about what you know. I have come across many great make money blogs over the last few years and most of them will say the same thing in one way or another. So I thought to myself, “why should I start a blog if everyone else has one?” The answer for me ended up being quite simple, I had answers that none of the other blogs were giving me.

None of the blogs told me how to create a blog for under 100 dollars. None of the other blogs told me how most people cheat on twitter. None of the blogs told me how to monetize my ads and how to figure it out time after time when it doesn’t work. In most of the instances I have mentioned the problem wasn’t what the blogs told me to do, it was what they left out.

I began creating website a short while ago and kept running into the same problem, it is EXPENSIVE! Therefore, I knew I needed to learn how to design/code sites or at least basic knowledge so I could create a site for myself without dropping 1-4,000 etc.

For me starting this blog was not necessarily about making money it was more about seeing if I could do everything I have learned and read about and so far it is working. As of right now I have 1,300 twitter followers and a handful of rss readers. I have found that some small forums are actually bringing me in the most viewers/ pageviews. Although my site has only been around for a short time it has a steady audience which is pretty awesome in and of itself.

Here are my top 5 reasons why starting a blog is worth it?
1. You can see if you really know what your talking about.
2. It is fun reading people personal messages.
3. Making money doing what you love is great.
4. Always something new and exciting to expand upon.
5. Never a dull moment!

For me blogging is worth it because I enjoy telling others how to gain traffic, make money, and share stories, all the while I am making a little bit of money on the side. If you are just looking to make money then you will be discouraged in the beginning and most likely fail. Just a word to the wise.
